What happens after I submit a digital fraud claim through the Scotia app?

Here’s what happens after you submit a digital fraud claim through the Scotia app:

  • If you have a valid email on file, then you should receive an email confirmation with the same reference number that was displayed on the confirmation screen (please do not respond to these emails, but keep them for your records)
  • We may contact you by email or phone for more information, if required (please respond as soon as possible, as we want to avoid any delays resolving your claim)
  • Your card(s) will be cancelled and replacement card(s) should be sent in about 7-10 business days
