Why does the amount transferred from my chequing account for Pay Yourself First or Savings Finder keep changing?
The amount transferred may vary because these smart savings tools will check your deposits, upcoming bill payments, and expenses to determine whether to transfer the full savings amount from your chequing to savings account. When it's not the right time to move the money, the tool may transfer a partial amount or, in some cases, it may not transfer any money.
You’ll receive a notification in the Insights section on Scotia Smart Money by Advice+ letting you know how much money was moved from your chequing account into your savings account.
These notifications will be sent after every Pay Yourself First transfer, and once a month for Savings Finder. You can also view your smart savings transaction history through the savings tracker on the Advice+ hub.
